Slovak Lines Gets New Iveco Irisbus Vehicles
(Transport; 08/2008; 12/05/2008; p.: 26; Editor)

On Wednesday, April 23, 2008, the director of Auto-lmpex, Július Hron, handed over keys from five new Evadys H buses to the general manager of Slovak Lines, a.s., Ing. Peter Sádovský, in the presence of the director of Iveco Slovakia, s.r.o., Ivan Solenský. These vehicles will operate on services between Bratislava and Vienna, to the airports of the both cities as well as to the city centres.

Iveco Evadys H is 12,8 metres long and provides the capacity for 57 sitting passengers and for 19 standing passengers. The vehicle is rather comfortable and has a rather high interior which also accommodates tall passengers (the inner height in the aisle is 2036 milimetres). Each seat has its own light and air control. The engine Cursor 8 with the power of 280kW/380 offers a very good performance and fuel consumption which makes the operational costs even more effective.

In Slovakia, they sold 196 Iveco Irisbus vehicles last year which accounts for the market share of almost 60 percent. Slovak Lines has chosen the supplier of  Auto-lmpex not only for being an Iveco dealer but also for providing complex 24/7 services. "Our services between Vienna and Bratislava as well as the airports are used by Slovak, Austrian and other foreign customers. Now with the new vehicles, we can provide them higher comfort. The purchase of new vehicles is our commitment to a modern and quality transport," said Peter Sádovský. The Slovak Lines fleet will be gradually extended by another ten new vehicles from AutoImpex.
