Slovak Lines and Regio is a story that began to be written as early as 1949. Although it prematurely ends on November 15, 2021, it was a ride that affected the lives of several generations.
Thank you for travelling with us. Despite all the bends and turns, bumps, going up and down on this long journey, they did not stop us. The red buses will be connected with us forever, no matter who takes over in the Bratislava region. Thank you for letting us drive you safely and reliably to your destination, since through that you have moved us forward.
Who knows, maybe we'll meet again on these lines in the future.
Your travel card stays the same
If you have a Slovak Lines Travel Card, you do not have to worry about changes to your regional carrier. Your card will also work automatically on the new Arriva Mobility Solutions buses. You can read more details in this document:
Farewell to Hainburg
Our line from Bratislava to Hainburg became a "mandatory ride" for us, even though its operation was financed on a purely commercial basis without any subsidies. We felt its irreplaceability for the number of Slovaks living on the Austrian border and we were determined to keep goig despite its significant losses without any prospects for improvement. Unfortunately, together with the termination of the operation of our regional lines from 15 November 2021, we are also forced to terminate the operation of the Bratislava - Hainburg line.
We do not rule out that we will return to it sometime in the future, but now it will be in the hands and responsibility of the new regional carrier Arriva Mobility Solutions. We believe that he will take it over with honor, as he undertook to do so, if Bratislava County decides to financially support and make this route available to passengers in full.
