We operate 43 bus routes in the Bratislava Self-Governing Region. Our regional bus routes are part of the Integrated Transport System of the Bratislava Region (IDS BK). Slovak Lines regional buses annually transport about 12.5 million passengers.
For more than 50 years, our company has operated on the Bratislava – Vienna international bus route, including Vienna International Airport.
The history of our company dates back to 1949 with the establishment of the ČSAD state enterprise. After Czechoslovakia’s velvet divorce and the breakup of state transport into many regional operators, we worked as SAD Bratislava until 2007, and then Slovak Lines.
We have 620 employees, including 430 drivers. Slovak Lines has over 300 buses and is constantly renewed. Our buses are air-conditioned, and since 2013 we have been operating fully-equipped low-floor buses for suburban transport for physically-impaired passengers and those with prams.
Innovations make us better
Just as we celebrate tradition, we also focus on innovation, high quality and safety. In recent years, Slovak Lines Express sales have been increasingly moving online – including the international Vienna bus route, seasonal bus routes and occasional transport. The Slovak Lines mobile app is one of the most advanced transport apps on the Slovak digital market.
Slovak Lines is part of the Bus Transport Union, which represents the biggest bus carriers in Slovakia. In addition to bus transport, Slovak Lines also specializes in the professional repair and maintenance of vehicles.
